OK, after almost two weeks of off blogging in Double Happiness (I still blog on and off in the Chinese blog), I decided to close it.
Yah, I am no longer blogging in Double Happiness using English or Manglish, there are many reasons behind this decision, beside what Jason mention in the previous post.
After 2 and a half years of blogging, I find my English still not improve up to the standard I want, I feel very disappointed to myself, no matter how hard I am trying, it just doesn’t grows in me, and so often I found myself can’t really express well with my standard of English, so I decided to quit and concentrate on my Chinese.
Since I blog in English, I use English to think most of the time too, and recently I even need to check dictionary for certain Chinese word when I writing the articles for papers and magazine, becasue I don’t know what it call in Chinese, or I forgot what it is in Chinese. And because of this I speak English with the girls instead of Chinese most of the time.
I enjoy reading my Chinese blog from time to time, but I not really enjoy reading my English, this show I still very attach to Chinese.
See? I caught in between, not here nor there. So I decided to stop blogging in English.
And then I found I got plenty of free time during the break, and I feel so rest and relax. And I love this kind of feeling, so I decided to carry on in this way.
Even though in Chinese blog, there are things I am not going to blog about it, especially about the twins.
The girls are growing up, I realised I couldn’t catch up with their growth, I used to write down the new words or phrases they learn, but now too much for me to take note.
And I don’t think they will appreciate what their mommy did, by telling everyone what they did when they was young, just like I dislike my mom tell aunties how I behave when I was young.
So the Chinese blog will be remine as a blog for only myself, and also breastfeeding support for Chinese educated moms.
Once blogging is a tool for me to get away from boredom and depression, and I still thankful for Lilian who introduce blogging to me.
During this 2 and a half years of blogging, I got to meet a lot of friends, some came to my house eat and eat and eat, some came to my house get “original copy” of kids show :mlol:, some appreciate the jewelleries I made and order from me, some of you sent presents for the twins! and some of you even throw a surprise birthday party for me, and that made an utmost special event during my blogging period, and I thanks everyone for this sincerely.
But now is the time I concentrate on the twins’ growth.
So, here by I closed down the Double Happiness. The blog will still be here, but I will not update it anymore.
For the friends who can’t read Chinese, there is something call e-mail right? we still keep in touch :mh2:

Note : This is guest blogger, Jason Lioh blogging at “Double Happiness”. A few people asked me where did Twinsmom go and everyone misses her. So, just to clear your doubts, I wrote this post.
Blogging is fun, no doubt. For those who just started blogging and still blogging, I’m sure you could feel the fun like blogging, reading blogs, replying comments, leaving comments, socializing, making new friends and etc. However, I’m not going to talk about how fun blogging is but the aftermath of blogging.
It wasn’t easy for us (Twinsmom and myself) to blog for 20 months (or more) continously. Throughout these 20 months, Twinsmom has blogged about 768 posts and I have blogged about 388 posts. I wouldn’t call ourselves pro-bloggers / senior bloggers / veteran bloggers / famous bloggers, but it is safe to say that we have achieved a milestone in our blogging career hobby. After all, There are lots of bloggers people out there who has a blog with 1 obligatory post, copy-and-paste blogs, quitted blogging after 1-2 months and etc.

As you can see, both of us have slowed down a lot; in terms of topics and updates.
Twinsmom had to spend time with the Belles as they are approaching 4 years old very soon. She has to start preparing the Belles for kindergarten and spends more time with them; as they will grow up so fast that the next time she opens her eyes, the Belles have entered primary school. If now is not the time to spend time with them, I don’t know when it will be. How strong is the relationship in future / when they grow up between the child and the parent most likely depends on this period. Why I say so? When I was around 4 to 6 years old, most of the time, I was alone at home, playing with myself, taking my nap alone, read to myself and only run to neighbour if I needed anything, which could be the cause of why I am not close to my family and parents at all currently.
Houseworks are pilling up everyday, and with two hyperactive kids, things are not easy at all for Twinsmom. A few times when we were talking on the phone, I could feel the tiredness from Twinsmom’s tone. When she rants about it, I could only nod my head in agreement; nothing I could do.
Apart from that two reasons, I am sure think that both of us are experiencing the same thing - lack of topics. Nearly 1100 posts, both of us have basically blogged almost everything that we could blogged. I am not sure bout Twinsmom since she has two little kids to give her surprises everyday. But for me, I am having difficulties finding topics to blog about. These explain the lack of updates in my/Twinsmom’s blog. Even if there are, whether the topic is suitable for blogging material is another story. Although blogging is said to jot down our daily life / milestone for our own read, we too hope that it would interest our readers so that they will come back for more, right?
Perhaps a simple picture can explain our current situation.

It’s just a matter of time before we quit blogging pick ourselves up and blog like we used to. After all, we enjoyed blogging very much. So, until then, just bear with us for the mean time. we don’t leave any comments behind doesn’t mean we don’t read your blog. We do read and still lurking around, just that we opted for a more passive role - silent reader. After all, it’s normal after you follow a certain blog for quite sometime.
I’m sure Twinsmom will be back, just the matter of time. Sooner or later…. Until then, Twinsmom is still on hiatus mode. -lol-
Twinsmom’s note:–
Thanks Jason :mh2:, this is very nice of you posting this on behalf of me, really thanks a lot, I owe you another dozen of puff now :mp:.

There’s a new SAHM blogger in town - Evelyn Poh!
However, it wasn’t quite a good way to introduce ourselves when I was informed by friends that my icons that I specially created for “Double Happiness” was being plagiarised.
![]()
And I was not the only victim, Mumsgather was too. She totally photocopied Mumsgather’s “Toddler’s Favourite Folder” and claimed it as her own.
(graphic removed)
Being a web designer yourself, I am sure you know how it feels like when your work and design was being copied by someone and claimed it as their own work. Not only you have committed the sin of plagiarism, you are also setting a bad example for your little one. What will you feel if your little one is caught plagiarising other kids’ work? Everyone is different and special on his/her own, but to be labeled as “copycat”, I don’t see the point of doing it. You have lost respect of others and succumbed yourself to a new low.
In the world of blogging, we share our findings, works, jokes and good stuffs. But, for courtesy or for sake, a proper citation will be better to give credits to the person who put the effort in finding and sharing his/her work. All you need to do is just write a short sentence and link it to the source, it doesn’t take more than 30 seconds to do the job.
Anyway, my icons are being copied and that means, my icons are good simply marvelous. I know, its just a cheap thrill of mine but since I am on holiday mood, spare me for my kembang-ness, can or not?
Read what Mumsgather has to say - here.
P/S : This is a hostile takeover by Jason. Jason is guest blogging for “Double Happiness” today.
I feel pressured writing for Twinsmom lah!
:s:
Twinsmom add
OK, above wrote by Jason — the guest author fo today LOL…(thanks Jason :mh2:)
this is what I say, somemore –
Eh, I thought I am away…. But bueh tahan, let me let this out first then away again.
Read this from Mumsgather’s post, shock! shock! shock! got this kind of blogger wan meh?
No, not shock on copy the icon, if you think you look like Twinsmom, fat and old, then feel free to use the icon.
But what I don’t understand is she can write well what, and web designer some more, have her own website with her name on it, ad even have her picture together with her daughter!
I printed and saved the screenshot of this lady’s particular post, because I know soon she will removes it after so many comment on how shameless she is.
And true enough, she removed the post and her main page as well.
but if anyone of you who miss it, still can read it from here –

But guess she got some sense gua, she took down her post and also the main page wor.

In all the Winnie The Pooh shows, I love this song the most –
When I up, down and touch the ground
It puts me in the mood,
Up, down and touch the ground
In the mood for food
I am stout, round and I have found
Speaking poundage wise
I improve my appetite
When I exercise
I am short, fat and proud of that
And so, with all my might
I up, down and up, down to
My appetite’s delight
While I up, down and touch the ground
I think of things to chew, like honey
With a hefty happy appetite
I’m a hefty happy Pooh
With a hefty happy appetite
He’s a hefty happy Pooh
:s:
Emm… it is time to look for some food.

Christopher Robin call Winnie The Pooh “silly ole bear”, so the twins call others
“Silly ole mommy.”
“Silly ole daddy.”
“Silly ole jie-jie.”
“Silly ole mei-mei.”
“Silly ole gu-ma.”
“Silly ole Noddy.”
“…”
…
Silly ole girls…
