Went to Taman Maluri today, SIL’s friend Shawn driving, everyway in the KL are jammed, so she turn here twist there we passed by the Pudu wet market…
First four years of my childhod spent in Pudu.
I might be forgetful, may be I can’t remember what I ate this morning, or forgot the water on the stove, but I remember a lot about the place we stay, we went during the four year.
I remember…
The sweet smell of the freshly steam egg cake.
The sack of sugar I felt in, and stay quietly inside picking the sugar in my mouth.
The sack of flour I pressed my face on to get the powder look.
The room my parent rent in the huge mansion, the position of every single furniture, the butterfly sticker on the cupboard, the bed that I sleep in between my parent…
The special seat tied on the bicycle, so I get a ride with my dad when he deliver the cake to my mom in the wet market.
The time I spent with my mom in the wet market when she jaga the store.
The paper boat my mom fold for me when I passing my time in the store.
The plant grow at the back of the place we stay, and the feel of touching the plant still so real.
The childhood friends, Wai-Si, Heng-Yi, Heng-Keong…
The lady who speak loud and hold mar-jiong session every night is my kai-ma(godma).
The Tian Hou temple in front of the mansion.
The humble place my dad first settle his feet after been expelled from Singapore.
All came back into me in just few seconds when the car passing the place…
And I keep walking down to the memory lane during the next half an hour in the car, it pursed when we reach the shopping mall, but now it came back again…
