Wedding Invitation Card

Finally! I found out the date of our Chinese wedding ceremony!

For 6 long years me and Twinsdad both forgot which day we got married, we remember there was 1998 December, but the day? Sorry…either one of us remember, what we can recalled was near Christmas, because our last day of honeymoon was Christmas, so was it 20th? 21st? 22nd? 23rd? We not sure for the passed 6 years.

Until mother-in-law found our left over wedding invitation card…ta da da…20th.

So which mean we have to remember to celebrate? May be make a pact with Twinsdad no need to celebrate even though we remember, since we never celebrate, let it be a not-celebrate-wedding-anniversary celebrate, since I’m so forgetful, don’t want to experience the “OH, sh*t! I forgot the anniversary!”

Anyway I almost forgot how our invitation card design looks like, inside the content we separate it in five section – Who何人? What何事? When何时? Where何处? Why何以?

So “Who?” – Our parent gladly invite so and so

To “What?” – To their son and daughter’s wedding dinner

On “When?” – On 20th Dec 1998

In “Where?” – In Ming Palace, Ming Court Hotel

And “Why?” – (this is why we want to get married) this is what Twinsdad wrote:

To explore strange new worlds
To seek out new life and new civilizations
To boldly go where no sane man(or woman) has gone before
These are the voyages blinded by love

With this picture on the card…

his is a picture taken from Sergio Aragone’s “Groo — The Wanderer”, a comic we both enjoy very much.

My “Why?” is – 不在乎样子,房子,车子,银子,只在乎能携手共渡一辈子.
And I will now add – 还有一起生两个孩子.

The invitation card certainly has brought back a lot of sweet memory to me.
