Feed Reader

8 months ago when I started blogging, I got only a handful of blog links in my blog.
Later on the blog link increase slowly, six months later I got almost 70 blog links. Then I start looking for a good feed reader which can give me an update, so I no need to click on every link to find out whether there is an update.
I had tried Blogline and Blogrolling, both I thought it can give me an indication of updated blog, but later I found out only a few will indicate, the rest still I have to check it out by enter the site.
Then I used FeedReader, may be the version I download not as new as Jason mention in his blog, or may be I didn’t set it right, it always give me the backdated indication, or no update at all, so it was history.
Later Twinsdad show me the Live Bookmark function in Firefox, I quite happy with it in the beginning, need no copy and paste the URL, just click on the bottom right corner “RSS” at the blog I want to bookmark, and every time I just click on the bookmark will see the updated blog.
But then again I still not very happy with it, because the bookmark will show only the topic of the post, unless I remember what was the last post topic, otherwise I’ll not know whether it is new or old post.
Few days ago I found a perfect feed reader by accident.
I open a new e-mail account in Thunderbird, and found I actually can use Thunderbird to read blog, and even more fantastic is it will give a real update, just like I got a new mail came in it will show in bold font and with (*) telling me how many new post in that particular blog.
Woohoo…so bye bye BlogRolling, now can read mail and blog in Thunderbird liao, unless I want to comment on the blog, click on the link in the post, the site will automatically open in the Firefox, ha…love it.
I guess everyone who read my blgo also read Jason’s blog, so I no need to link everything like Jason did, I lazy…curi ayam…
Hmm, sometimes the FeedReader does show backdated entries especially after you didn’t shut down FeedReader properly or your pc hangs/restarts. Hmm, too bad I dun use Thunderbird, else I would gladly try the method u suggested and then introduce to other people. I am still finding better FeedReader though. Maybe I will find a better one.
Wah, people who read your blog are 10 times more than people who read my blog loh~! How can compare like that. Hehe~ If your blog reader also read my blog, so nice. -sniff sniff- I miss my 250 hits per day time and 20+ comments.

Belacan, but you can’t open Hotmail acct in Thunderbird, it support Gamil, Yahoo, TMnet, Streamyx and others e-mail host, but not hotmail.
anyway, my Hotmail is a history liao, so OK for me ;-).

read ur comment at jason’s blog, baru know thunderbird can be feedreader oso..faster faster test it liao..thanx alot ohh..now save my work liao..hahaa..and hor it support yahoo mail oso meh? how to set it? I tried liao..but kenot connecting to server wor..hmm..maybe I donknow where to find the yahoo server?

Papi, mine PC dinosaur mya too, tht’s why always make full use to some function come with the software, so no need to install anymore software.

I use thunderbird to read the blog also. but godammit my hostel server is too slow!!!!
