Bacon with Mushroom

Ooops!! | 笔者: Twinsmom
OK, I am a cheapo, when I browse around the meat counter for pork in Jaya Jusco, I saw this bacon chip about 500g selling at RM6 something. Oh
great! I love bacon, since this bacon chip so cheap, buy!
After bought it home thought may be can cook it with the fresh mushroom, hmm…must be yummy…
So I deep fried the bacon chip (half of the bag about 250g), then stir fired it with a lot garlic, add the mushroom, season with salt, ta da da…

It smell soooooooooooooooooo good, the mushroom absorb the bacon lard so yummy, then the bacon…
If bacon suppose to be chewable like rubber band, then this dish will be a great success, but too bad nobody agree with me, at least Twinsdad is the first person who objected:
“Whao…too bad I don’t wear denture, otherwise can fix one with chain saw one, more easy to chew.”
The twins very happy to see the bacon, they love fried food (who don’t?), thought it was luncheon meat, but once bite it, immediately spit it out. OK, Isabelle better, she chew chew chew until the bacon tasteless than spit it.
Me, more like Charlie Choplin chew the boot and shoe lace in “Gold Rush”.
So, we all ended up finished the mushroom only.
What I suppose to do with the other half bacon chip left in the fridge
?
May be just like the mushroom, cook with something else let the “something else” absorb the bacon taste.
Or should I braise it?
Anyone any idea?

ok, i suggest u chop it then mix into blended eggs then fry it… can add some bell pepper (if u fancy it) and tomatoes and mushroom too. should be yummy

I suggest you mixed it in “梅菜烧肉”. You know, “闷” the “梅菜” with “烧肉”. The main ingredient is the vege, and the meat is to enhance the taste only. So, by putting in bacons, if should be good, especially the sauce. Hehe! My favourite dish also is this! :bpbpbp

Sorry for double posting.Perhaps you don’t deep fried the bacon and straight away stir fried with the mushroom? Pour a little bit of “gou tong” or water and let it “mun” for a while? Perhaps will have the same effect, but the bacon still eatable? I am not too sure, just my suggestion. Auntie knows better than me in cooking, so you think whether my suggestion will work or not loh~!
Hehe, I so like Isabelle that moment.
*chew chew chew* *puit*Haha! Can imagine that funny sight.
