Do you still remember the funfair you went when you was a kid?
I remember mine.
Not far away from my dad’s bakery got a empty space by the main road, once or twice a year there was funfair at the padang.
My image of funfair was — dirty, crowded, noisy… but still I like to go to the funfair, may be because at that time not much entertainment.
And the ride and equipment are old, wore and tear, dirty, smelly... But still one ride after another.
The performance on the wooden stage was so noisy, and… yah… not fit for kids — the ladies wear as sexy as they can to sing those vagueness song… but still we go.
Well…this kind of funfair not extinct yet, some time pass by the Old Klang Road still see this kind of funfair. But no more sexy ladies perform anymore, and the ride and equiptment are much more better than old time.
Yesterday evening we brought the girls to this funfair in Bandar Utama (or they call it amusement park, more classy), behide I Utama 2, can see the fairy ride from the main road.
We spent almost RM60 on the ride (remember we have two), RM2 = 1 token, one ride 2 token, 2 kids ride 4 token = RM8.
OK, there are reason it cost so much, it seems like this funfair are from oversea, Europe may be. The ride and equipment are beautiful, and well maintain, though some of the ride discoloured a little bit, but still better than a lot I went before. At least I don’t smell the exhaust from the battery.
Then… today… just now…
We went again! And spent another RM80 on the ride.
Why?
Because…
It was Twinsdad’s idea, because yesterday when we left the funfair, Annabelle very disappointed beecause we have to go and can’t stay longer.
Yah, she really sad, so as Isabelle, but Isabelle not so expressive like her sister, Annabelle is a real drama queen, she show you her unhappy face, and keeps quiet, silent protest.
So… Twinsdad said: “Tomorrow we come again OK?”
So… we went again…
And this time after so many ride, they are happy, and becasue they also won some prizes on the games, so when we leaving they kind of contented that they actually have something to continue the fun after reach home.
One ride… RM8
After another… RM8
And another… RM8
And another… RM8
And another… RM8
And another… RM8 x ?
Then
They won fan, flower, pen, and spider-man soft toy — Isabelle threw ball got one, then Twinsdad threw one for Annabelle, so everybody happy, nobody fight.
Everybody happy, but I think Twinsdad’s wallet not that happy, you might say: “RM150 can buy a lot of toys for the girls and play longer.”
But Twinsdad will tell you: “That is different, the fun of having toys to play, and the fun of riding car in fun fair are totally different.”
Yah… I remember I didn’t want to leave the funfair too when I was a kid. It is different.
I found when come to our girls, we never hesitate spend money, err… wait… but not the pre-school.
Why? I also don’t know. Strange couple.
well… is not like we can keep bringing them to these funfairs for another 18 years or so… we might as well do it now while they are still enjoying it… right?
I think you should try Genting again lah
p/s: next time bring only RM50 (or whatever amount you wanna spent)
i m sure your girls had fun…and i hope u took lots of pix and i can never remember what i did beyond 7!

That’s good experience and memory for the kids. I can’t wait to bring my girl to a fun fair and see her playing happily - but now she is still too small/young - have to wait till she grow up
i’m sure they had lots of fun… brought ivan there too but the little monkey kenot go on rides by himself… so his “ku cheh” accompanied him

jacky, Yah…I remember when the girls was below 2, we so long for them growing up faster, so can bring them for fun ride, hah… finally they big enough to ride car, now we wait for them to grow more bigger can ride the bang bang car :lol:… we always have to look forward isn’t it?

Sue, I think I saw you in the funfair, you went on the Tuesday evening isn’t it? unless I saw someone who looks like you :oops:. tried to call you, but seems like one of your group have lost something, all busy searching for it, handphone or wallet may be. then Twinsdad called us and we went off.

ShiauLin, I think should have gua, check out mag or newspaper and see. otherwise bring Xuan to Genting next you come back, can drop by on the way back to Kuantan what.
