Since the girls stop breastfeeding at 13 months, I have been strolling up and down at the formula milk section, everytime go for grocery shopping.
I never stick to one brand for the girls, to me the only best milk is breastmilk, the rest of the formula are all the same.
In the beginning I bought Enfagrow for them, becasue cheapskate mah, thought can redeem gift in the Enfamama club mah.
Then later it getting more and more bl**dy expensive after adding those ABC, XYZ, so forget about the gift, not worth it.
Since then I switching brand, see which one got free stuff I buy which one, better than save the bl**dy foil to redeem, some mroe have to mail to them, cheh!
So I got quite a lot free toys and stuff for the girls.
And the most recent one are the Fernleaf with the Chicken Little’s sticker and colouring book, well, have to get two bags everytime, otherwise they will fight.
Cheap skate hor? but they love it wor.
Before this I got puppet glove, colour pencil, puzzle cube… can’t remember all, a lot.
And those who told me not good to switching brand for kids, will affect their health, well, I tell you, whatever brand they taking (included those without DHA’s Dutch Lady fresh milk) they are growing and healthy, eat well and sleep well, so? like I said — except breastmilk, all the formula milk are the same, from the cow.
Wander what is next gift come with the formula.
LOL!! I also prefer breastmilk but now cant give them so have to stick with the cow milk..hehe. I lazy to change other brand so just stick to 1 brand.
Good philosophy.. which one gives you more chiok-sou (gift), buy which one.
i’m not father yet so not really know about the milk stuff. Yes, you may rite maria, all milk powder is just cow milk. But make sure it’s not come from those country with Mad Cow disease (疯牛症)…. lol

My girl is taking Dummex’s Mamil Gold. Have been giving her this formula milk since day 1, dare not to switch to other brands afraid she will get stomachache.
although i stick to 1 brand only but when come to a free sample, i also being cheapskate will sapu whatever they give… hahaha… what to say? free wor u don’t want?! then better give it to me
personally, i also never dare to switch milk powder for my boy, afraid he’ll get rashes if milk powder tak ngam… coz last time switch to this brand liao his skin is better… aigh! mebbe i shd start trying some other brand hor, coz of kiasu-ism maa… LOL
mamibee always stick to 1 brand that is the S-26. now i think this milk is very expensive ler…!! wondering dadibee need to work how hard to buy milk…. uhhh…..
this milk business is really getting out of hand liao sometimes!!
one can (last 1 week) cost up to 40 bugs… crazy lah…
no wonder people cannot afford to have many children

Now wyeth promise gold also giving out free gifts mer. Some kind of blocks or something. Like the Lego’s kind.
As they grow older, the milk powder is cheaper. I don’t go for brand. I go for whatever that suits my children. Try Nespray, it has prebio, it sez can boost up their immune system. Opps no more advertising, later you charge me ad fees..hehehe.
I just bought SQ 1st fm last month..started with the cheapest wan..hehe..Dutch lady lor..:P …
next time will do like u lah..see which wan got free gift then go for it..haha
There are so many brands out there, my boy small size in comparison with kids his own age. I have been giving him Pediasure. Aiyoo, so expensive, was thinking to change brand.
I must agree with u, breast milk is still the best. Too bad, I have non now. *Scratch head, which brand to change?*
1+2mom, stick to one brand also got benefit lar– save the time to stroll around mah :D.

Jacky, yah, some baby prone to get diarrhea to certain milk product, but at least can find one that not cause any problem is good enough.

Sue, last tiem when we change the milk, we used to buy the small tin wan, or get the sample from the doctor, sale person or how ever, especailly during those family fair, can collect a lot, then slowly try one bu one ;).

Egghead, yah… the formula company can’t get their hand on breastfeed baby, they get their hand on breastfeeding mother now, see? how many brand came out with the breastfeeding mommy milk? last time where got wan? they feel the threat liao.

Allyfeel, Pediasure is good, but if consume too much the kid might not interested on food (main meal), if he eat and drink like normal, active and healthy, not always like tire or sleepy, then skinny might be just the gene.
Skinny and small size not the problem as long he is active, happy, and not prone to sickness easily.
