The host came to me and introduced her to me. We exchanged a few words, then the host told her that I can restring her pearls if she want, and urged her to pass me the pearls have a look and get it done.
She look hesitated, well, understandable. Pass the pearls that cost few grands to a stranger take home and restring? are you nut or being [bean](http://www.mrbean.co.uk/)?
I notice her unwillingness and told the host it is OK, it is better to get the gold smith get it done, well, can see her face show the sense of relief.
She left while the datin tai-tai still have their good chat.
Oh… right after she step out from the house, those tai-tai changed subject liao… they start talk about 镇江老醋 old vinegar from Zhen Jiang, China. If not, why those word have such strong sour smell?
**Datin1**: “You don’t know her? She was one of our Miss Malaysia mah, year 199x wan.” *oh… no wander she looks so different from others and looks familiar.*
**Datin2**: “Married to rich man already, good live lor.” *yee? you also not bad what, why sound so sour plum?*
**Datin3**: “Good live? hah! wait until she old and fat liao, her hubby go find another one lor.” *whooo…someone speaking from experience.*
**Datin4**: “All this beauty pageant just want to marry off to rich man wan, otherwise why go show dai-bei (tight) on the stage like that, no standard.” *yah… those stage’s standard can’t match your giant dai-bei*
**Me**: “But she does look stunning and grace.” *got business already cari gaduh*
**Datin5**: “Huh! mon-min-kong-fu 门面功夫 (for show) only, who cannot?” *ROTFLOL…obviously you cannot lor…*
Gosh…. poor lady…. being pretty and rich kena like that, jealousy can really kill people.
Then a year later I being hired and work with a jewellery shop, then I chat with my superior and her friend (both not tai-tai and datin, but doing well) talk about tiara, from tiara we went on to beauty pageant, from beauty pageant we went on to beauty queen, then I mention that I met this Miss Malaysia before, and I think she is beautiful. But then this two ladies gave a disdain looks upon hearing her name: “Hah? she pretty meh?”
“Yah, I think she looks pretty, and grace too.”
“Nah! Just another flower in the glasshouse, no brain wan.” *wooiii… people said big breast no brain wan wor… how about you? don’t lar judge boob brain like that.*
Well, I know Miss Malaysia not much, may be they know her better than me, can’t comment on it, but she is pretty what.
Then years later, I read more and more about her in the magazine and newspaper, and most recent about her claimed the title of Mrs. Malaysia, and published her book.
I went to the bookstore one day, and saw the book on the shelf, I flip through it, mainly her photos and her journey of beauty pageant. Nothing much really, at least to me someone who prefer more reading, this is just like a photo album.
Well then since the book came out I heard quite a number of remarks on her, mostly and… sadly being negative.
Like the few datins I met before, this few aunties (wah..talk like I am not auntie like that) I saw in the bookstore, flip the book and comment about her life style (orang kaya, rub shoulder with celebs), her looks (looks pretty only, no brain wan, pretty bimbo, *people pretty bimbo or not, but her big ATM machine (bigger than your’s) hubby love her wor*), her body (got money can go slimming center mah), claimed Mrs. Malaysia World and made her way to the final 10 in Mrs. World only mah, not even winning the world title (some people can’t even qualify to enter the local contest in her hometown leh) her living (husband kaya, otherwise she where got so pun-si?) like know her very well. (women critise women very “cham” wan)
Their voice mingle with the taste of vinegar. I look at them, middle age (me still got few more years to hang-in-there), plump (me still slimmer than them), look wither (me use homemade mask, recipe provide by Earthtone, so still better than them), well off (their Prada bag I can’t tell from Petaling Street or KLCC, since I don’t use one), well… certainly this beautiful lady has all the quality to make them so jealous.
I jealous boh? emm… not jealous lar, but envy lor… envy her so pretty wor. You see the different of envy and jealous or not? envy is I have no pal to her kind, but I amire her beauty and luck (she got a pair of twins, one girl and one boy, talk about luck). Whereas jealous will be like this few aunties (again, I am a different kind of auntie who still wear jeans and and white T), same “level” with her, but no match with her “class”, so can only sprinkle vinegar around lor.
While I read her book I can’t help but recalled what those datin tai-tai said on that day, after almost 7 years, she still looks stunning, and even after gave birth still slim, and even claimed one more title after Miss Malaysia, and her husband still by her side etc… whao…I think those tai-tai must be drop dead jealous man… think about it so syiok — hahaha…those poison tongue still not match with their rival.
Oh…well… I don’t usually this 38, but since my age state it, and I am in the mood of busy body, instead of wishing everyone Happy New Year 2006, I give some spices for your new year lor.
Anyway she might want to publish a parenting book in the future wor! emm… this I don’t expect she will talk about breastfeeding :tmlol:. And in her interview with mag and newspaper, I hardly see her talk about her kids, unlike some celeb moms talk about their kids a lot, so I guess mainly will be pictures again in her might-do parenting book gua.
aiyah… at least post one of her stunning beautiful picture mah… left me drooling for nothing only
i think i know who are you referring, but sadly, i can’t find any pictures …
and her book costs RM99. who would buy that book except her husband? RM99 … she is not even Heidi Klum, though pretty.
oh… i know who you are refering to now… pretty lady and so lucky to get 龙凤双胞胎!
Seems like those aunties really jealous of her. And the rest of the people who bad-mouthed her. She seemed to live a very good, rewarding, and lucky life. Who won’t be jealous woh.

Like what Sabrina mentioned, I like reading ur blog too. So, when I’m down, I’ll open up ur blog and have a good laugh (esp. the most recent ones about the pot and the cheongsum). When I read, I’ll couldn’t help myself from giggling and my ‘boss’ would be staring at me *tongue out*.
U sure do meet a lot of ppl from all walks of life leh and can (hee, hee) ‘putt’ here and there.

Ooo..I think I recall who is that not sure the name, but saw on the papers…I do envy these ppl, that’s their life lorr rite :). But nobody knows what’s behind her life. Like ppl always say rich doesn’t mean happy, got money doesn’t mean can buy health
i envy her luck on getting a pair of twins, that’s all, everything else, is fate. different ppl have different destiny …
zara’s mum is true, everyone else here isn’t doing bad at all, so why envy/jealous? money? we try our best to get the best out of everything for ourselves. body? oh well, if there is a will, there sure is a way. beauty? i am satisfied with average looking.

And regarding this topic of datin-datin, I think they are people who ’sek pau’ nothing to do so have to talk about others - jealousy is definitely one of their issue.

Oh, you found it huh, this one not nice lar, the make up so cheap, she far more pretty without make up, that day I met her she got no make up, just lip stick only.

May be what she mean “prenting book” is — how is her parenting skill leh. from what I see she is a very good kaki in the ball, but when come to parenting skill, she can’t match with the fellow mommies I know *self praise, self praise* :D.
