Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant

Yesterday was MIL’s birthday, instead of bring her for the Chinese 8 course dinner like the passed few years, this year we brought her to this newly open Shogun Japanese Buffet Restaurant.
SIL called few days ago to made the reservation, look at the long queue –
Poor Jason came to 1U and ended up with lousy Baoz, so I eat on his behalf hehehe…
Of cause the spread were a lot more, but too busy to eat, didn’t take much photos.
See the food I took? this is the healthy and right way to have buffet, all start with one piece, and small portion, spread it out in the plate, and go for many round, in the same time exercise and eat more.
9 adults + 3 children + 3 kids babies.
Adult RM45++, Children RM25++, baby below 3 year old FOC. total bill cheaper than 8 course dinner during CNY (Chap go mey some more).
Accroding to my SIL this Shogun is the under the same company with the KL’s Japanese buffet restaurant (sorry, forgot the name). But here in the 1U the restaurant more spacious, more comfortable.
How my girls like it?
How my MIL like it, she likes it, variety of food, her grandchildren happy, she happy.
How I like it? Not worth for me to have buffet, because I can’t eat as much like I used to be, not because I diet, but I really don’t feel like eat so much, stomach shrank.
How Twinsdad like it? Not bad, once a while OK lar, otherwise wallet very hurt :mlol:
Wait till my mom come back from Singapore, will go again with my parent.
Yer… Jealous!!! Next time you bring me go lah, sure worth your money one. (Hint : Belanja me.)

not bad wor RM45… maybe will go one day… but must cut back after get the car… LOL!

Unlike your MIL, my MIL only likes Chinese food, no way to get her to eat Japanese food.

Is it new in 1u? Never heard of it ler. Where is the shop located? Might want to try..
btw, Shogun is opened by the famous Saisaki lo…Same owner. Saisaki is at menara UOA II. ALWAYS long cue too, must make reservation in advance wan. But i havent tried Shogun i wonder if the variety is the same?
*drooling* any good? any fresh oyster? fresh salmon? cooked octopus? Hrm..if good, next time I come down, sure pay a visit there!

Worth it? I mean the things they served? What was the long queue for? Waiting to be seated? Or to take food?
Btw, I head Kampachi has the best buffet, yet to try out. Hubby and I also, go for buffet not worth it, because we don’t really fancy sashimi or oyster, always eat the cheap fish and tempura, not worth it.
Btw, your girls nursed you till good health already?

We like sushi but not those raw one, it worth then eat at Sushi King

hey, you should know what, everything eat-all-you-can sure long queue, let alone at this price.

Shogun NOT AS GOOD as Saisaki! Altho spread may look like alot, but quality control fail! I LOVE Jap food with a passion..so can tell the difference. Shogun not fresh!

Nope nope exact same price as Saisaki. If you think Shogun was good…wait till you’ve tried Saisaki! Under renovation now tho..so cant go there..
