ShiauLin e-mail : ” I need your address, I am coming back tomorrow, then go to…, and back to…, and go to… again, so I have to see you on 23th Jan to pass you something.”
My e-mail : ” Can meet in MV like last time? Then we can go shopping.”
ShiauLin e-mail : ” Hah?! I bring you a duck, you want to bring the duck shopping?”
My e-mail : ” Hah?! You bring a live duck from Beijing to me? hahaha *ROTFLOL*.”
ShiauLin e-mail : ” Siao!!! Beijing QuanJuDe roast duck lar!”
So later on 23th Jan, in MidValley CarreFour Hypermarket playground, she passed me a bag full of children VCD (blog about it later), and this –

Nice packaging, year 1991 tasted it once at the old shop in Beijing. now after almost 15 years, it flew to my house, thanks to this sweet and kind mommy, tsk… she so thoughful, I am so touch.
For your infomation, to savour the QJD roast duck, the least condiments we need are sweet sauce 甜面酱, chive 葱白, and pastry 饼皮. Didn’t manage to eat it before CNY, because can’t find chive in the market!!! and I really scratch my head — where to find the right sweet sauce. So until after CNY I finally stop thinking about the sauce, stop drooling and open it –

*phew* it came with the sauce! I was just over the moon when I see the sauce, the roast duck will not be a complete meal without the sauce.
After took the duck out from the bag, the savoury smile start linger around. (not sure my saliva drool on the duck or not)
Emm… even though the packaging came with the intruction about how to prepare the duck, but my oven just not big enough to accommodate the duck, so I skinned it first, then torn the meat, and left the bone –

Too many, save some for my mom. (called my dad to come over, he said so lazy, will come with my mom next week or so, so save it first), not to crumble it, I lay it on the cling film piece by piece, and lay another cling film in between, so even after frozen still can separate it easily.

Emm… yummy… sorry… don’t know how to describe my feeling… too yummy… want to cry…
I love it, Twinsdad like it, Annabelle like it, Isabelle… she is on diet, we all ate her share.
Tell you later what I did to the meat, and what I am plan to do with the bone.

u know what, i gave a pack to my mum and she just roasted it using oven then chop it the way like normal roasted chicken lidat, all skin, bone, meat all campuran… hmm… then the taste also ‘mah mah’ only

Whao so yummy!!! I don’t take duck but I do take this kind of skin crisp pecking duck.
But the site of the bone is a bit scary like kena “tong Sei ngou”
milly, wait until u pandai in cooking then i buy one for u loh
btw, have to thank my hubby who help me to bought it and carried all the way back to malaysia (we even need a special luggage for roasted duck only, and its heavy!!
)
haih… u just made me crave for peking duck by posting all those pictures!!!
luckily i can get peking duck in penang (just don’t know how good it is compared to the QJD’s)…

Yum Yum, I also want!! Last time I also tar pao Hong Kong Si Ngor back from Hong Kong. Very delicious.

I ate before also when in Beijing. This shop really famous hor? I think you prepare it at home will be nicer, in the QuanJuDe shop, all in styrofoam plate one.
Btw, you know we have smoke duck in M’sia which is also very nice? It comes from Ipoh. And this year, I bought 5 birds from them to be given out. Very yummy also. I’m a duck person though, so any duck is nice for me.

Mouth watering, mouth watering, it’s just mouth watering. Swallowing my saliva while looking at the duck and the way u prepared it – wua lau eh, reeeeeaaaalll delicious – like what I’ve tried from the restaurant (or maybe urs better).
BTW, how do u make the pastry where u ‘giap’ the duck in between leh?

>> Tracy, you can get the pastry from Tesco, so far I can only find it in Tesco, don’t see it in other places. It come in 10 sheets per pack,in the shape of square, about the width of A4 paper, I think the packaging called crepe or something.
