Spring Onion ginger fish 姜葱鱼片

This is one of the dish we like to order when dine out, the more spring onion the better. Have been trying to cook this dish, but I don’t know what else I need beside the ginger, spring onion and fish. But anyway, I tried, and… hahaha… it actually very simple :mp:
OK, here is the recipe
:to: any white fish, sliced. Use a bit soysauce and starch to marinate.
:gr: Spring onion (cut into 3cm lenght) and ginger (sliced), depends how many you like.
:brin: salt and paper to taste.
:ca: half rice bowl of water mixed with one table spoon of starch powder.
Heat wok with about 1 1/2 rice bowl of oil, slightly deep fry the fish (过油), set aside. removed the oil left about 1 - 2 table spoon of oil in the wok, put in the ginger and spring onion, fry for about a minutes, add in the fish, fry for about 2 minutes, add the starch water, salt and pepper to taste, see the sauce become thicker, off the heat, done.

Very simple.

actually I eat anything with this method of cooking

Wah, yummy, yummy, trying to cook this too but don’t have the recipe. Yippee, no need to go and dig for the recipe now. Can use Dory fillet or not? No bones mar.

I think the restaurant over here also put in Water chestnut荸薺 too.

When my MIL cooks this, she like to put oyster sauce than soysauce.
I like to cook this meal, but i seldom fry the fish.
>> Huisia, you mean the oyster sauce to marinate the fish? or use as sauce? I also a bit lazy to fry the fish, but if don’t fry it, it become fish flake in the end :lol:…
