Still on bottle

I generally happy to the twins’ development, they are active and healthy.
They never need to sit in the stroller for shopping since two (wasted RM240 on a stroller :mroll:), they prefer walking.
They like to brush teeth like Mumsgather’s duo, so no problem on that.
They sleep well, nap time 2 hours <>, night time 10 hours <>. Hardly wake up at night.
Annabelle actually need no nappy for night time, she will wake up and pee, but we still wear it for her, just in case. Isabelle being her lazy self, still prefer nappy (who want to get up during the sweet dream?).
They eat well, never worry about that too.
They play well, they are so lucky to have each other.
They know from A to Z, 1 to 20, trying to spell their own name. The only worry I have is they don’t speak Mandarin with me, they do repeat what I tell them and understand what I say in Mandarin, but the daily conversation between them still in English.
They help me collect dried laundry, and keep it in the closet after fold(but never keep their toys).
They never too attach to something (aside from mommy and daddy), they don’t need safty blanket or Mr. Bean’s Bear, guess because they have each other.
They never kick leg and throw tantrum in the public (especially toy department in shoppign mall) when they didn’t get what they want.
So much more that make me feel proud of them.
But only one thing… They still on bottle. Not only milk, water and herbal tea too.
I had tried to gave them sipper cup, but in the end they don’t ask for milk at all, I tried to play tug of war with them, if they want milk that will be in the cup, otherwise no milk. And two whole day they never ask for milk! Great… they won. And follow by their flu last month, lack of appetite, I got no choice but to give them milk in bottle again.
And Annabelle said: “Yes… bottle nen-nen for mei mei, no nen-nen in the cup for mei mei.”
Guess it is time to start again… or they will stop using bottle after go to kindy? after seeing other kids not using bottle? emm….

I use coffee mug,, the mug with lid and drinking from the open hole.. (I bought this mug from Ikea CND $1.99) Spill proof and he still can drink the milk on the sofa with his smelly pillow to get comfy,..

you should set up a “good children” training school lah so I can send my son there… LOL!
on the contrast… my son hates the bottle for milk… but he hates his milk anyway

I tested myself, drinks milk from bottle and sips from cup. Milk from bottle taste good, sips from cup is really yucky. (I mean the formula milk, not the normal HL milk we are drinking.)
Now YChing refuse to drink milk from cup. For water and other beverages, she use sippy cup.

I have seen a std 2 girl in her school uniform drinking milk from a bottle taking the same lift with us in our aparment.

They dont want cup cos they find it difficult to use. Use bottle no need to scare tumpah wor.

they look alike. are they identical? i really pei4fu2 you cos twins can be so challenging right from conception. chinese always think twins is good, but in fact there is so many risk in multiple pregnancy

yup, twins or more pregnancy consider high risk pregnancy, and the chances of premature babaies are very high too, but people tend to be optimitic on child birth, and with the help of advance medical we have today, multiple birth babies are bacome more easy to handle :), but I did have difficulty after gave birth, will blog about it when I am free.
Never mind la.. some kids still do it all the way till they are 9yrs old.. (my friend’s kids and she said she too)..
It’s a small matter if everything is developing fine.

My boy not get to weaning yet…but I read from a parenting book, it says better wait until the kids are ready to wean themselve…they say the kid who can drink successfully from a cup still nurse or use a bottle.

Your gals are progressing well!! Blink an eye, they will be all grown up. I still want Emily to be a baby…can cuddle her like teddy bear.

It’s ok lah..! they will stop when they want to.. or when they start school.. when everyone they know.. is on a sippy cup.

Your girl very good leh…my girl..don’t know what to say lah..hubby said my fault. By the way, my girl won over the bottle war again. After 3 days of no milk in bottle, last night I gave in again…yiks.
My opposite neighbour, stnd 2 , still drinking milk frm bottle, but she malu will hide and drink. My bro drink from milk bottle until 7 yrs old…so I don;t know how lah

How did u train ur girls ar? Really salute and thumbs up to u!!!! And u should be very proud of not only ur Belles but URSELF too.
No worries lar, they still want to enjoy drinking from their milk bottles, so let them be and let them enjoy to the most of it.

frankly, i dun mind wien using bottle even she is 4 now…but MIL trained her use cup+straw, she remind me dun offer her bottle anymore, so i follow lor! but sometimes at my mum’s place, she did ask for bottle, so mai use lyon bottle to give her lor! lol..then tell her dun tell Ma Ma hor! hehehe

Your girls oledi so well trained and behave so well, drink from bottle no big crime lah, let them enjoy it lah mama maria!

Luckily I don’t have this headache as my two skip the bottle. I had a very tough time for the first 6 months of their life cup-feeding them due to difficulty breastfeeding but its short term pain for long term gain because for the same reason they don’t know how to drink from a bottle. Never took any milk from bottle before both of them straight to cup at 6 months.

I tried to introduce my son’s favourite cartoon on a sipper bottle. He loves it and no more bottle for water but need to still work on getting rid of milk bottle.

guess they will stop that if the right time comes. gua. i guess.

My Jo can drink well by cup outside without leakage but at home, he can 罢喝 if i offer him a cup.

Twins will be so close each other, just like my gals too. If one of them cry the other will go sayang her.
My son still in bottle if drink milk. I asked him b4 but he still want his bottle. He can drink other drink from the cup except milk.*roll eyes*
