OK, no secret on shooting all this water drops photos, I am using a digital camera — Canon Powershot A95 –

use manual setting, set to macro mode, use high-speed continuous shooting, set shuttle speed at 1/2000 (seconds), aperture F5.6, with low flash output… viola.

If you not sure your camera can do all this, read the user guide, I know a lot people don’t bother to read the user guide (my ex-boss never read user guide, whenever she wants to find out how to shoot, she go to the camera shop and ask the sell persons, and they all so afraid to see her), but it really help a lot. I learn all this from the small booklet and with the help from Twinsdad on how to take angle shot (other pictures).

This is where I shoot the pictures, my house kitchen window –

Use a hose stuck at the window, on the tap, and get the camera ready.

Now after I telling all the behind-the-scene, nothing fancy already after you all know LOL… but it is always good to share.

Have fun trying it out.

Very nice pic!! We used to read the booklet too but still dun understand how to use. Too many function and too complicated so we cant take a nice photos till now..hehe.

    >> 1+2mom, experiment lor, like I record down what function I use for the first one, then teast another function for the second shot, then more or less you will know what is for what.

how do u make the background to be all black?

    >> Greenapple, I think bacuase the shuttle speed is high 1/2000, so it couldn’t capture the light, if off the flash the picture will be totally black, but with the help of lower flash, it help capture the water, if use high flash then might capture the background as well.
