Quite a long while didn’t make this snack for the girls, not only they like it, I like it too, very easy to make (err… most of my recipe seems very easy to make hor?) –

slices of bread (wholemeal is the best), spread some butter on it, then sprinkle the parmasan cheese powder on top, toast for 5 minutes or till golden brown, have this with a cup of chrysathamum tea, yum yum.

Looks yummy. I prefer to spread butter on the bread and toast/grill it first (butter side facing down on the pan). Then lay Kraft Cheese in between those 2 slices (toasted side facing in) and toast the outter side till the cheese melts. Yummilicious!

If the Belles like tuna, strain the tuna (can version) and mix a dollop of mayo. Spread the tuna on the bread and top it with cheese. Put the bread together and grill the outter side. Yuuuummmm! No wonder I can’t lose weight. Butter, fattening. Cheese, fattening. Mayo fattening. But soooo goood! Aiyaya!

    >> Vien, Ooh… good idea… thank you, thank you :), will try it this afternoon, err…. I think I have mayo with me.

Yee? What a coincidence. Made that for my girl for breakfast. Only, to entice her to eat, I had my girl help me make the toast. First we toasted one side of the bread, then we cut cheddar cheese slices into pretty shapes using a cookie cutter, place them on top of the non-toasted side and toasted it further till the cheese melted slightly but not too much till out of shape. She walloped it. Otherwise wouldn’t even want to try.

    >> MG, I dare not to let the girls try to cut the cheese again, last time we did, they cut my whole pack (only 5 pieces left then) of cheese, they ended up have cheese and macorroni for dinner :(.

I tried cheddar cheese before, but it ended up form a thick skin on the bread (hahaha… my bread ‘thick skin’), so the girls just tear it off .

*sigh*… we really put a lot effort to make our kids eat huh?

yum yum..u use oven to toast ah? My toaster is not the oven type ler, it’s the old old type so if put stuff on top sure all end up inside the toaster!!

    >> Jazzmint, ya wor, have to use the oven instead of toaster, if using toaster I think the only way is toast it then apply butter, and sprinkle a bit of cheese powder lor, let the butter stick the cheese powder.

Hi… chanced upon your site. I make DIY pizzas the same way but spreading the tomato puree, layer on with mushrooms and sausage, then add the cheese. Toast in the oven for 3 to 5 mins and bingo! DIY pizza!

    >> domestic rat, thanks :D. another blogger Shiaulin taught me this method too, but omit the tomato puree, but I made once for the girls, that is, because they are such a messy eater! I ended up cleaning the tables, sofa, floor, their cloths and bath them, and wash their hair *boohoohoo*… so I will wait for sometime to make it again :D.

But still can make for myslef right LOL…

Zara likes bread and cheese too.. and we do this quite often.. but I use a sandwich toaster to do.

I normally make my own garlic butter.. the garlic bread very ‘hiong’.. but i don’t think Zara can take yet, as it’s a bit spicy and the garlic taste very strong.

    >> Zara’s mama, how you make the garlic butter? come, share share.
