Did I mention before Genting Highland is kind of like a second home to my SIL? No? OK, let me tell you again, she loves to go up hill, ah, don’t get her wrong, she is not a big time gambler, she will rather spend the money on good food feeding herself, instead of feeding the slot machines. She likes genting so much because it is near KL, she enjoys the cool air, and most of all, she always gather enough points from her World card to get free stay (shopaholic mah :mp:). Because of her, we went up hill on the Monday.
Came back down yesterday noon, so tired… Twinsdad said: “Holiday came back so tired…” yah… after having kids, the vacation no longer rest and relax kind of trip.
Emm… Genting… a place that sucks all the money, from the casino to the theme park, from the adults to the kids, everything so expensive, but then… the kids very happy, so… to us once a year should be OK, unless everything 100% sponsor by someone.
Luckily (?) Twinsdad got the football lucky draw RM50 discount voucher (spend RM50 and above in single receipt in any outlet in Genting, get to join the draw, last till the World Cup end), so the damage on the whole day ticket for whole family in all theme park looks less hurt.
We got another RM50 hotel voucher on the second football lucky draw, valid till end of July, and SIL said wants to being the girls go Genting again! siao… even though the rental for the pigeon hole room got RM50 discount, unless we all no need to eat, otherwise the F&B bills can kill people.
Anyway…
The twins had good fun in the theme park, although Annabelle refused to play certain game in the beginning and the end, but at least she was OK to most of the game and machine in between.
Isabelle was the only one having 100% fun in the theme park, from the kiddy Bronco that made Annabelle cried to the slow moving Catapillar monorail. And I think she made the ticket well worth on riding the indoor Paris car ride over and over again, yah, not many kids at the night time, so she rides again and again for more than 20 rides, changing cars from one to another after each ride.
Me and Twinsdad are so tire right now, after walked a lot in the theme park, and not sleep well at night! Lesson learnt — never share room with SIL, gosh… her snore… like thunder, and I am a light sleeper. Last night slept at 2am, woke up at 4am to changed nappy for Isabelle, and couldn’t get back to sleep till morning!
more update later, but no photos.
Side note: the Canon workshop was fast! we sent the camera last Thursday, they said will need two weeks, but called yesterday the camera was ready to collect! obviously some connection problem, but still RM100 flew away from the wallet, now the camera all well function, sitting nicely quietly in the living room, so no complain.

I never like Genting but I heard they have changed a lot, i.e. more kids-friendly (and more money friendly too). Hmm, is it the World hotel that has hunted rooms? Hehe..don’t mean to scare you ar.
But then again, your SIL snoring will scare those gwais away..LOL! (aiks, your sil better not read this..haha)
aiyah… too bad no bring camera lah… tell me mah… so I let you use mine

we really love the cold weather up there also… hope we can live there ler… but the stuff there so expensive
Genting quite a nice place for family…but I didn’t go theme park ler..hehe..maybe my gals still small lor..when they grow bigger I let them play in there lah..
Wah.. Twinsdad takes so many days off.. first Kuantan now Genting..
I still haven’t brought Zara to Genting yet.. I don’t like the -ve qi (gambling qi) there, and so does Daddy..
But for Zara’s sake.. should go hor?
>> Vien, Gnting really have changed a lot, a lot. from the road to the facilities, I wouldn’t say they are child friendly, because there are theme park for children, but the basic facilities like toilet for example, not children friendly.
>> Egghead, yah, the price for most of the things kill wallet gao-gao :P, I think I will prefer to go to Cosmo Park LOL…
>> Msau, wait till SQ about three or four, then she can play more game, otherwise quite wasted, unless buy the individual game ticket.
>> Zarasmama, I tell you, Cosmo Theme Park in Berjaya good enough for our kids lar, lagi pun Zara still young, a lot of the machine she can’t play yet. I don’t know, after the recent stay in Genting, I wouldn’t want to go Genting again, I prefer KLCC park, or Cosmo Theme Park then.
We went up to the hill last weekend too. It’s not dat we love to go into the casino - Pappy doesn’t gamble much and I don’t gamble. We like the weather. It’s Destinee who loves the place so much esp. the Theme Park and Snow World. She’s always asking when we are going to play ’snow’ again.
Do u bring ur girls to Cosmo Park often? I brought Destinee once but she didn’t like the place. Only a few rides were suitable for her.
It’s true…Twinmom…it’s sure tiring when having vacation with kids…I’d just experienced that…:(…hahaha…that’s another kind of vacation that those without kids couldn’t enjoy…rite?
I went to gentening last month…it changed a lot since the last time I went there, about 7 years ago.
I like there too, their food, esspically their seafood…
sad to say, I live in Singapore, I can’t treavle for so long every time. =(
I have the same thinking as Vien. Last time I used to get VIP free stay in World Hotel, one of my family member a big gambler. The windows very big with no grill. Easy for ppl to jump I guess. I also heard a few horror stories. Anyway Theme Park hotel should be no problem I guess.
>> tracy, we didn’t go to the snow world, spent most of the time in the outdoor theme park. to my girls Cosmo also good enough liao LOL…
>> Fanmama, with kids more fun, but more tire :D.
>> Cockroach, hah! you are one of the many Singaporean I mention in my next post LOL…
we ate at the Gotong Jaya’s restaurant, not bad the food.
>> Michelle, I think the enforce on the window already, now the window even though without the grill, but the glass panel can only open about 5 inches only, so unless the person thin like chopstick, otherwise can never squeeze through the window.
Ghost? I mention about it in my next post LOL…
