Note : This is guest blogger, Jason Lioh blogging at “Double Happiness”. A few people asked me where did Twinsmom go and everyone misses her. So, just to clear your doubts, I wrote this post.
Blogging is fun, no doubt. For those who just started blogging and still blogging, I’m sure you could feel the fun like blogging, reading blogs, replying comments, leaving comments, socializing, making new friends and etc. However, I’m not going to talk about how fun blogging is but the aftermath of blogging.
It wasn’t easy for us (Twinsmom and myself) to blog for 20 months (or more) continously. Throughout these 20 months, Twinsmom has blogged about 768 posts and I have blogged about 388 posts. I wouldn’t call ourselves pro-bloggers / senior bloggers / veteran bloggers / famous bloggers, but it is safe to say that we have achieved a milestone in our blogging career hobby. After all, There are lots of bloggers people out there who has a blog with 1 obligatory post, copy-and-paste blogs, quitted blogging after 1-2 months and etc.

As you can see, both of us have slowed down a lot; in terms of topics and updates.
Twinsmom had to spend time with the Belles as they are approaching 4 years old very soon. She has to start preparing the Belles for kindergarten and spends more time with them; as they will grow up so fast that the next time she opens her eyes, the Belles have entered primary school. If now is not the time to spend time with them, I don’t know when it will be. How strong is the relationship in future / when they grow up between the child and the parent most likely depends on this period. Why I say so? When I was around 4 to 6 years old, most of the time, I was alone at home, playing with myself, taking my nap alone, read to myself and only run to neighbour if I needed anything, which could be the cause of why I am not close to my family and parents at all currently.
Houseworks are pilling up everyday, and with two hyperactive kids, things are not easy at all for Twinsmom. A few times when we were talking on the phone, I could feel the tiredness from Twinsmom’s tone. When she rants about it, I could only nod my head in agreement; nothing I could do.
Apart from that two reasons, I am sure think that both of us are experiencing the same thing - lack of topics. Nearly 1100 posts, both of us have basically blogged almost everything that we could blogged. I am not sure bout Twinsmom since she has two little kids to give her surprises everyday. But for me, I am having difficulties finding topics to blog about. These explain the lack of updates in my/Twinsmom’s blog. Even if there are, whether the topic is suitable for blogging material is another story. Although blogging is said to jot down our daily life / milestone for our own read, we too hope that it would interest our readers so that they will come back for more, right?
Perhaps a simple picture can explain our current situation.

It’s just a matter of time before we quit blogging pick ourselves up and blog like we used to. After all, we enjoyed blogging very much. So, until then, just bear with us for the mean time. we don’t leave any comments behind doesn’t mean we don’t read your blog. We do read and still lurking around, just that we opted for a more passive role - silent reader. After all, it’s normal after you follow a certain blog for quite sometime.
I’m sure Twinsmom will be back, just the matter of time. Sooner or later…. Until then, Twinsmom is still on hiatus mode. -lol-
